Today was nuts!
We went to the National Weather Services open house. Very cool stuff. They were giving tours of the center, we got to see how they check on storms. They launched weather balloons every hour, way cool. I am glad that I got off my ass and went. Very educational and fun. Kids had a blast and hopefully they even learned something while we were at it.
After we left there we hit the road and ended up in Harper's Ferry, West Virginia. I have never been to this little town before and what I found was not what I had in mind. It was very cool, I need to go back when I have more time to hang out and wander. Today we were kinda rushed, it was late when we got there and we only had a couple of hours to eat and see the town. There was too much to see!
I also need to go back with my camera, I was highly upset that I didn't have it today. I did break out the iphone and use that, it took ok pics but nothing like I could have done with my camera. I must go back to this place. It is a need. Things are just sitting there waiting to be photographed!
In the mean time here are some half ass pictures of the kids around Harpers Ferry.

The Princess and Terrorist in an open lot with a wall of stone behind them was very cool looking!

This is on the foot bridge across the Potomac River from West Virginia to Maryland.

The train that went by us while we were standing on the foot bridge! The kids loved that part!

More wound up kids, thanks in part to CSX!
Kids actually acted ok during the trip on the way back about 3 hrs till we stopped thanks to an emergency shopping trip we had to make to Kohls. Going up there was ok with all the stops in between. Terrorist only puked once so life was almost good.
Have I mentioned lately that I hate kids?
